They're looking wonderful. My sister would croon over your rooster--she loves them. I love the stags, entangled as if one: and the squirrel (wonder if you like them; something in its posture.)

On your comment to me: for one thing, I don't have a son--which is a great thing to give your time to! :) Also, to be on a blog is new to me, so i am having a huge learning experience, and go where my desire is, always. (I can be a real bitch about hoarding my time when i want/need to!)

Sometimes I look at your paintings, and then your comic strip, and wonder how you do all you do!! Or anyone blogging and doing art with children.

Women writers talk alot about time, about how to be mother and mother their work, too. There are so many hungers eating our time; our lives. It goes back to choice again; and not being split about saying yes, and no to what we want to do. : )

and about fighting like hell for what you believe you need to do at a moment... and well, whatever spontaneously arises!!

Den där lilla ekorren ser för söt ut (fast jag vet att du inte gillar det ordet) söt på ett bra sätt. Vad kul att det går så bra.

it's OK to think the squirrel is cute/sweet, Camilla...

Mansuetude, I've tried to put something in the animals that I believe corresponds to the stories about them - stories from the Aesir cult (the Viking's religion). The squirrel is running up and down the World tree with angry messages between the eagle on the top and the dragon by the roots. I wanted to make the squirrel look like he's attentive and prepared to run up and down. (I like squirrels)

Now, i am so (you should know) fascinated by the vikings since the age of your little boy... are you, or the sweedish connected to this heritage? I know so little...

Me, the squirrel (if you look at her body) there is a small "L" dash of gesture which leaves the whole squirrel body OPEN--which I loved. It shows an open sense of carrying... messages or whatever these creatures carry. It was as if the body was air... that is why i asked.

Why not explain your thoughts about the vikings with your posts... its fascinating. Aren't these signs going on the local streets and buildings? They seem strong! Long lasting.

mansuetude - I'll come back to the animals (short of time right now). The Vikings were from Sweden, Denmark and Norway (and later went to Iceland) - check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikings
