land art workshop 1

I'm doing a series of out door workshops with preschool children, this time it's about land art. This is what we did today ...

soon workshops in the forrest again

The other day - a very rainy day - I went out in the forrest to try out some land art ideas for a series of workshops with preschool children (age 5). But I came to the conclusion - especially after meeting the children - that I couldn't be this subtle if I want to reach all of them...

It has to be something totally new for them - surprising and magic - or I won't get them interested. The pedagogues at preschools here in Sweden are excellent and often use nature as a tool - so I have to be really creative in order to give the children a new experience.

Art Walk Majorna

works by Jan Stigland and by me waiting to be placed/hanged in the group exhibition at Röda Sten Konsthall

The 12-14th of April Art Walk Majornas (Majornas Konstrunda) is taking place, which means open artist studios in the neighborhood Majorna in Göteborg. KKV is participating - which means you can visit all the different workshops and see what art we make there. At Röda Sten Konsthall there's a group exhibition where you can see all the participants. Jan Stigland and me are representing KKV in the exhibition.

a change of heart

I decided a sequence was the way to go for this print instead. It was quite complicated to get it all right as I was super tired today - been teaching screen printing all weekend and then spent all day yesterday applying for a residency. But with careful planning, notes to help me remember in what order to print what - and a proper lunch - I managed to solve it anyway!
