give away

I know you are some people out there reading my blog, but I don't know who most of you are and why you keep coming back. I would love to get to know something about you. So I make a little give away - with a catch:

  • Who are you?
  • Where are you?
  • Why do you read my blog?
  • What do you want to see more of?

Leave a comment and the lucky winner will be drawn in a week. The price is one of my handmade screenprints "Pang" - seen in this post.

I'm Alexis and I live in New York. I don't remember how I found your blog originally, but I return again and again because I love your artwork and I love how you write! I like to hear about your process of creating art, and I like to read about your life outside of art as well.

You write in the way I wish I could - even if it is about not having anything to write about. Lovely stuff!

Hi Alexandra. I´m Ivana and I´m from Slovakia. I like your paintings and the concept - ideas behind them. I also like to read about the process you create them. So, I´d like to read more about the way your works are "being born" and I would also be happy to see more of your drawings and scetches which I enjoy most of everything.

Hi Alexandra. My name is Nathalie, I live in Montreal, Canada and I come to your blog every day because I love your art. Your style is very personal and intriguing. There is nothing more I'd like to see. This is what I like about blogs: the surprise of the post!

Hello, Alexandra. My name is Evelyn, and I'm living in Seattle, Washington. I found your blog by following a link from Camilla Engman's blog. I've continued reading it because I like your art. Also, your posts about searching for a job could've been describing my life lately--I recently moved to a new city and have had such trouble finding work. I enjoyed your post about "killing the messenger", it's interesting to see how you work.

I'm Esti. I live in Bilbao, Spain. I don't remember how I found your blog, but it sure was through a link in somebody else's blog. I like to spy on your art process and read you. You always have a very honest, raw and true point of view. I learn a lot from you.

Lotte - being compared to Francis Bacon is just a great honour. He's like my house good (ok - exaggerated a bit, but anyhow)

Hi Alexandra!
I'm Muriel from the Netherlands. I like your blog because of the way you show how your artwork comes about and develops. It is great that you are able to explain some of that and that you are willing to show it.
I'll keep coming back!

Hi, there, I mostly lurk, and do not often leave comments on most of the blogs I visit.
1) I'm Anairam,
2) and am from Cape Town, South Africa.
3) I come back to your blog, well, just because I like the way it is, a little bit of your work and art, and snippets of your daily life and thoughts. I suppose I'm curious about other people's lives and what they think are interesting?
4) It really should stay very much as it is, to keep me as a reader. I probably would enjoy seeing a little more of your work and creative ideas.

Micah - I can not promise you free pizza, but at least free french fries if you come to the opening of my exhibit in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2 months.

If you can not make it to Sweden I can anyway promise you something: you will see more and more daylight. Thought not for ever, and not on my blog. Look out the window

E det sant att du ska komma hem till gamla Svedala igen?
Kommer du till medborgarskolan då?
Ja!
Jag vill gärna vinna en av dina alster!!!

Hello. I'm Sara, and I live in Wisconsin (USA). I absolutely love your artwork, and have to admit that I really enjoy reading about your perceptions of the world around you. Its nice to "hear" someone's thoughts on everyday things, and get different perspectives from different places.

Hi Alexandra, I´am Andrea from Prague, I found your blog via Camillas. I like to see your work, the progress of it, I like your sense of humor and those great stories about your family treasures.

Alexandra Hedberg said...

I miss my family treasure stories, Andrea. Soon I'll be back in Sweden and have access to the very things that are essential for the stories: the items.

My grandmother's old shoes - very stylish - for example ...

Hi! I'm Daniel from Chile
I read your blog cause I really love your drawings and paintings, and obviously that's what I want to keep looking at. I love art in all of its expresion and it is for me a failed dream so far cause I'm studying sciences right now and I love it but I really wanted to study arts ...

i visited your blog because blogtoppen recommends it as a blog that is liked for the same reasons as mine.. but i've been here before because i like your exquisite taste and the relationship between your pen and paper (metaphorically speaking, its all digitized now), and because am an art aficionado..

I like to see more of the street impressions that you post from time to time, or more of how you see sweden in your own eyes...
